Why do I need an ink level resetter? When your cartridge registers empty in the ink status monitor on your computer this does not mean you have to throw the cartridge away, as most people would!
Instead you can use a refill kit to fill up your cartridge and use it again and again (up to 6 refills from one kit!)
If you are refilling an Epson cartridge with a microchip attached you need to reset the chip before you place the cartridge back in to the printer. This is where the Jet Tec ink level resetter comes in to action.
The resetter 'zaps' the microchip on the cartridge to 'reset' it and when the cartridge is placed back in to the printer, the ink status monitor on your computer for the cartridge, will read as full.
Instructions: 1. Identify the correct location of the cartridge on the resetter, line up the pins with the gold pads on the cartridge chip. 2. Push the cartridge and resetter together. The red LED flashes indicating that reprogramming is taking place. 3. When the LED turns green the chip has been reset. 4. If the red LED stops flashing but has not flashed green, the chip has not been reset correctly. Try again ensuring that the pins and chip are lined up correctly.
Use the adaptors to line up the gold pads with the pins on single colour cartridges.
