Overview of Graphics Tablets

Graphics Tablets provide an intuitive, cordless, Radio Frequency pen-type pointing device for use with drawing, painting, graphics and photographic applications.

The pen that comes with the NISIS and Trust Graphics Tablets, offers one important feature that is not available with computer mice, Pressure sensitivity. When pressure is applied when using the pen, the Graphics Tablet detects up to 512 levels of pressure and passes this information to the Graphics application. Many of these Graphics applications, such as PhotoShop and PaintShop Pro, are able to use the pressure information to change the width of the line that is being drawn, or change the colour of the line or vary the density of the spray when using an airbrush tool.

The pen and mouse use Radio frequency signals to communicate with the Graphics Tablet so they a cordless. In addition, the mouse that comes with the Tablet does not have a mouse ball. This means you don't have the frustration of the mouse slipping and sliding when it picks up dirt from the desktop.
